I'm David Port, and I’m excited to share my journey and expertise with you. I started Port Design Company (PDC) to empower sports brands with a unique athlete-driven perspective. With my background as a relief pitcher for a Division I baseball team at Appalachian State, I understand the passion and dedication required to build strong fan connections.

I began my path at Appalachian State University, majoring in Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology. My passion for creating impactful visuals led me to earn an MA in Educational Media with a focus on Media Production. This foundation set the stage for my career in the sports design industry, where I’ve spent over ten years honing my craft.

As the Creative Director at LEARFIELD, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with prestigious universities such as LSU, The University of Alabama, Vanderbilt University, University of Virginia, Oregon State, and Georgia Tech. These experiences have allowed me to work on high-profile projects, shaping the visual identities of some of the country's most recognized collegiate sports programs.

My love for branding truly took off during my college baseball days. Designing my team’s jersey in my senior year was a game-changer, sparking a passion for creating unforgettable brands. Today, I dedicate my time to designing logos and brand identities, primarily for collegiate universities. It's a dream job, combining my love for sports and design.
